Today's Rosaries are not like the Rosaries of yore. Basically, all materials today are either non-tarnishing or tarnish resistant,
providing excellent wear and durability. Many folks dislike sterling silver due to the constant cleaning it demands to look its best.
However, much of the sliver and gold plate today is very well done and (short of washing dishes with it)
really wears well and lasts nearly as long as the much more costly precious metals.
